The Manual: Unit Profiles
How to Get Here
A common way to get to unit profiles is pressing v from the main view, moving
the cursor over a unit and pressing p then z.
There are also a few other screens that let you view unit profiles directly.
Description
Here you can view a unit's holdings and requirements, as well as their thoughts and preferences.
The holdings, requirements, demands and mandates of the unit will be listed on the screen. To access thoughts and preferences,
simply press ENTER.
The thoughts and preferences of a unit let you know what has been happening to a unit and the things that would please them. All of the
information you see here is used by the game.
An important part of Dwarf Fortress is learning how to keep dwarves happy. If dwarves become
unhappy, they can throw tantrums, damage property, start fights and eventually lose their minds.
