Summary0007206: Hordes of creatures accumulating near empty lair with each fast travel
DescriptionI killed a Night Troll near its lair in evil forest and fast traveled to heal. I noticed that some undead animals spawned. I kept fast traveling and more animals spawned with each fast travel.
They seem only to spawn on the lair map tile - nearby fast-travelable tiles are empty while lair tiles have a huge density of creatures.

In 34.07 I had a huge number of surface creatures accumulating on a retired fortress once. I had marked the site as a lair with DFHack before abandoning and then used it as a base for my adventurer. With every visit more wildlife spawned, bringing game speed to a crawl. In other abandoned forts that were not marked as lair this never happened.
So maybe this is a variety of an old bug?

Looks like another form of population duplication, could be pretty old. It is fixed now for 0.40.11, though the old duplicate populations aren't removed.
