There are missing actualised emotion stimulating events happening but the dwarf does not mention them weird. However relaying the current expression over the positive experience for the dwarf personally is correctly applied.

Unless of course the actual bug you're trying to relay is that dwarves commit more subtle actions (2 or 3 at once like example picture shows in dissapointment over another performance) but only legitimately register the one associated thought at a time before updating to a new state to keep up with all the expressions they are feeling while being unable to process the action.

In layman' terms dwarf AI in relevance to emotions is too slow to handle multiple sources of simulus they do each tick and register infrequently. I feel this may be relevant to Toady's statement ( http://www.bay12games.com/dwarves/mantisbt/view.php?id=8584#c38078 [^] ) for the chat function shown in 0008584

I am miserably failing to penetrate your reply, so i'll just describe the situation step be step.

1. A marksdwarf trains at shooting range.
2. Gets distracted by a kea, kills it. I receive a combat alert.
3. At the same moment his training is finished, he adds to combat log that he didn't like it.
4. He immediately argues with someone and he's not satisfied with it.
5. Right after that he goes to tavern and sees two performances. Combat log is still active, he says in there he didn't enjoy both.
6. I check his thoughts/preferences screen and see only positive emotions about these events.

I apologise if i was opaque and a bit jargon technical, i was remarking about prioritisation of which thought and whether the dwarf should have considered both with a faster reply or if it was acting correctly in a buggy way to only focus on the positive one like you point out.

("do i dislike this performance or say i like the other one for thought screen?")etcetra

Thanks. Please continue (relevant) discussion in that report. I’ve updated the title to encompass all situations.
