0011146: Military families disappearing
I sent one of my squads on a mission to investigate an empty fort. They went through the mission, travelled there and back and produced a report. When they returned, they reverted back to their old jobs and their families seemed to have disappeared as well as their assigned bedrooms and in the case of their leader (my captain of the guard) his office and dining room.

When sent on a mission all members of the squad lose all their ownership of everything in the fortress, and do not regain it when they return. If there are free rooms available they'll claim a new room. As far as I can tell that's as designed (although not as desired).
Mission members retain their (civilian) job allocations when they return from a mission, which also seems to be as designed. They also tend to revert to civilians even though their squad remains on duty (often reverting back to military duty shortly afterwards).

If families disappear that is odd, though. It would be useful if you specify the kind of families these squad members had in the fortress (spouse/single, no kids/kids/babies, grown up kids/not grownup kids, ...). A save with a description of which family members went missing would be useful. A list of the squad members (or just the squad name if the members haven't changed) would help.

Rooms being unassigned is 0010470.

How did you determine that the families had "disappeared"? Can you upload a save to DFFD ( http://dffd.bay12games.com/ [^] ) demonstrating this behavior?
