0001873: Dwarves ignore buckets and lets patients die from dehydration.
A wounded dwarf got himself to the hospital zone and laid down. I put a bed in there, but he didn't move into it.

The doctor worked on him setting bones, suturing wounds, cleaning him until he died of thirst. He passed away from dehydration silently in mid-doctoring.
The doctor had access to buckets which he used to clean him, and i made four more buckets to ensure the patient got the water he needed.

In the carpenter's, four buckets were stashed which had not been claimed. In the communal stockpile were the buckets the doctor had used to clean the patient. The hospital zone settings had not been edited, and contained nothing. All thread and splints were taken from outside the zone.

I had two dwarves on idle duty to only haul food, take complaints and feed patients. They did none of these tasks during the duration. Besides them, there were five or so more constant idlers who were authorised to perform the task of watering, who only occasionally hauled something.

All bolts manufactored were hauled from the workshop into the stockpile, as were things like rendered fat. The main stockpile was a giant everything-enabled pile, which allowed buckets which i specifically checked. But they were still not hauled. In fact, they could not even be dumped. The workshop was accessible, the carpenter could get in and out, and things like splints and barrels were hauled. But not buckets.

Looking through the logs, not a single attempt had been made to bring water to the dwarf and asking for a bucket. It's just like they didn't give a damn.

This is probably another instance of 0000351, more specifically 0001035. If you have a save from when he was still alive, it might be helpful to upload it to http://dffd.wimbli.com/ [^]

Well, i kind of ragequit and abadoned around then.
The new miner wouldn't touch his pick, the hunter ignored all new quivers, bolts and crossbows. I had messed around with uniforms and put all dwarves in squads, which i understand breaks things permanently currently.

Yeah, I understand the frustration, but in the future, if you think you're seeing a bug in progress, always grab a save (and if you want to keep playing, back it up).

Had you used Dwarf Therapist to enable the mining/hunting labors? Squads do mess things up, but Dwarf Therapist also currently causes problems with jobs that involve equipment.

I use no utilities or edits.

The equipment-related concerns might be because of the arsenal dwarf. Does he approve picks, ammo for hunters and the like?

I'm 95% sure that he doesn't have anything to do with picks/axes for mining/woodcutting. Hunters... I don't know. But yeah, it was probably just your squads trying to claim all the equipment for themselves or something.

I'm going to go ahead and mark this as a duplicate, since there doesn't seem to be any more information we can get out of it. The equipment issues fall under reports like 0000689 and 0000076.
