Summary | 0002562: Infinite backpack when picking things up. |
Description | In adventure mode, trying to put an item, such as a held weapon, into a backpack with ten items in it gives a message that there isn't enough room. However, by dropping the item, then picking it up, it automatically gets put in the backpack, no matter how full it is. |
Steps To Reproduce | Pick up an item with a full backpack. |

From duplicate report:
Adventurer's backpack can carry many corpses.
Dwarf corpses too. And lead cages. |

Maybe adventurers are just very good at tetris? |

YOUR BACKPACK IS THE BACKPACK THAT WILL STORE THE HEAVENS! |
This is an extremely long-standing issue - even back in the 2D versions, picking up an item into your backpack ignored its capacity. |
One might argue that this is a feature, but at least the weight still affects you, so that is sort of self limiting in that way. |
