0000337: crash when squads taken off Station
When I take my squads off their station order, I get a few second of play then is crashes with a 'DF stopped responding' ...etc.
due to the delay I don't know what the combination of events were that caused this as I reloaded and left them alone and it was fine when I removed them later.
In my few seconds I was sometimes able to tell them to go training(via schedule), although one squad had no training room.
unsure have a save if you want to test it
open squad menu
select squads and cancel orders
wait ~ 30 secs
cue crash

If you have a save, then uploading it to the DFFD would be helpful. http://dffd.wimbli.com/ [^]

It is still happening in my later continued save but it requires me to have them go to training.

Uploading both saves now.

may be related to the other bug I posted 0000243

I'm seeing something similar, and also have a squad game with it precisely replicable as follows:

Game loads. I've got one member of a squad already stationed, and press s-p-b-d-m (squad, individual, squad B, position D, move) and select a position 10 or so tiles away (trying to lure a giant into traps). Press ESC-space to get out of the menu and unpause it. So far so good.

However, as soon as I press s again, the game freezes with just the brown frame around blackness.

@Nighteyes: I'm late to this report, and several crashes have been fixed since 4/3/10, so it's hard to say if this one is fixed. It doesn't reproduce for me now using those steps on your save, so maybe it is fine.

The ChickenLips save is 0000706, which I fixed a sec ago for 0.31.11.

Are you still able to reproduce this bug? There have been several fixes in previous version that may have taken care of this.

I haven't seen it happen again, but I haven't tried that save since. plus I've started to use the SDL as well.
I'd say that is is fixed fo me anyway.

Given Nighteyes' reply, we can probably close this one as 'no change required' or 'does not reproduce.' If we find it happens again, we can wait for a new report or reopen this one.

I'll go ahead and mark it fixed for 0.31.11 then, otherwise the system marks it as a false report, which it wasn't at the time. 0.31.01 was a horror show and stuff.
