0004464: 31.25 Cave blob leather items not hauled to stockpiles
My caverns are infested with cave blobs, so I set up some traps. Cave blobs keep wandering into the traps and the remains are butchered. The cave blob leather is usable like ordinary leather, and I made some quivers and also an artifact cave blob leather armor.

For some reason the items are not hauled to any stockpile, they're just sitting in the leather workshop.

The items are usable. My militia commander is happily wearing the cave blob leather armor, they just don't get hauled to any stockpile.
Find cave blob.
Kill cave blob.
Make cave blob leather item at a leather workshop.

Hmm, interesting. Cave blob leather items also cannot be decorated with images. They can be used, just not hauled anywhere or decorated with any cloth/leather images.

The llama leather quivers are decorated without any issue, just not the ones made with cave blob leather.

Cave blobs do not define a LEATHER material, so the tanning reaction is producing "leather" objects which are made of the first material defined for cave blobs - SKIN. Since the material lacks the [LEATHER] token, it doesn't get considered for stockpiling and it doesn't accept decorations properly.

Adding "[USE_MATERIAL_TEMPLATE:LEATHER:LEATHER_TEMPLATE]" will probably fix this for future worlds (and possibly skins acquird from future cave blobs), but not existing items.

Cave floaters also seem to be affected by this, making this likely related to (or even a duplicate of) 0001448.

Mussels, oysters, and fluffy wamblers also have skin but no leather, but they're also vermin so this is probably never an issue.
