0004742: Freezing ice doesn't leave a surface on top of the wall
I'm using the system described at http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=87141 [^] in order to get obsidian. It works by melting the ice below the left bridge, spreading the water around, and then mixing it with lava further to the left. However, when there isn't enough lava, the ice spreads but the magma doesn't get to the far left, resulting in an ice wall there. But when that happens, the ice floor doesn't reform the way it should.
Dig out an ice wall by channeling or ramp. Get magma nearby, letting the water spread back to the original square. Let the water refreeze. It should result in an ice wall that is missing the floor on the above layer.

Probably related; apparently this is a duplicate: 0002198. I looked for it earlier but didn't find it. Thanks for pointing that one out.

ETA: Only difference is that that one used an aquifer, while this one was purely through glacier water without an aquifer. I'd guess that wouldn't make a difference.
