0005418: Members of caravans lost on approach causes caravan to get stuck at depot with "no merchants trading"
I have an entrance with an entry corridor followed by a ramp up to the depot.

###V_____ z2 where # is wall, V is ramp down, _ is cavern floor
___/#____ z1 where _ is floor, / is ramp up, # is wall, _ is more floor

The draft animals are through the wall on z1, merchant and 1st row of wagon are *in* the wall, row 2 of wagon is on the ramp up, row 3 of wagon is on floor.

Coincidentally there are also 2 more wagons (I think) which are overlapped behind this one.

My dwarves are able to walk past the blockage, but the caravan is just sitting there. Part of the caravan is unloaded at the depot. The depot is in "no merchants trading" status.

All of this occurred after a siege landed while the caravan was walking. The siege was beaten back but one of the guards or merchants might have been killed.

I have a nearly identical issue in 0.34.11 on the Mac.

I had a dwarven caravan incoming when a siege occurred; the wagons made it down the ramp to my fort, but some of the personnel may have died on the surface. The caravan casualties seem to be a few guards (macedwarf, axedwarf, etc) but also one listed as "merchant".

A couple of wagons have already unloaded, and then I have a backup up several more that are just sitting there. The depot is stuck in "no merchants are trading" status.

Would a copy of my save file be of any use?

I'm not sure these are actually stuck in the wall, just that the visuals are represented by the middle wagon tile and since it hasn't made it up the ramp yet, the 'front' of the wagon with the merchant driver and animals looks like it is in the wall.

Waiting, eventually four of the wagons scuttle themselves and the last one eventually reloads and leaves after the appropriate messages.

Reloading and destroying the depot right off, all 5 wagons leave.

Loaded in 34.11 with the same results.

Happening in 0.40.02 (Linux) as well. Human merchants got scared by a Weremoose. Half of them wandered a few tiles away (and stopped), and the other half stayed at the depot. Now, none of them are moving. Their goods are still sitting in the depot. I can request a trader at the depot, but I can't bring any goods (or un-bring any), or trade.
