0000615: Living dwarves' body parts don't get hauled to refuse stockpile or graveyard
lost/rotting limbs are not "cleaned" and left rotting where they fell off unless manually (d)umped creating miasma further decreasing the happiness of the patient.

in this case i saw a limb get taken off from a doctor or rotting off and the limb was still on the ground under the patient inside the hospital. the limb was not forbidden but could have been inaccessible because of the dwarf on the bed above.
although manually assigning (d)ump to it made a dwarf come by and dump it properly.

Did you have a graveyard stockpile? The "cleaning" labor is for stuff splattered on the ground, like pools of blood, vomit, etc.

yes, i did have a graveyard and a refuse pile both fully enabled and accessible.

but now that i think more about that matter, the bug itself could well be related to the pathfinding problems going on.

It could be, but the treatment of dwarves' body parts has always been a little weird.

Severed body parts do get hauled in corpse stockpile/graveyard at least in .18.

Okay, between that and the lack of activity on this report, we'll call it fixed.

The behaviour, as of 0.40.04 at least, is that severed body parts of living dwarfs will be hauled to a corpse stockpile (not a refuse pile) where they will remain until the dwarf dies and is assigned a coffin. Once this happens, all of the body parts will be gathered and taken to the coffin.

If no corpse stockpile is available the body parts will remain unmoved even if there are unassigned coffins available.

I can confirm what MichaelB said. (v 0.40.06)

I also want to add, that foreign dwarfs (for example invading zombie dwarfs or Merchants) are also stockpiled in a corpse stockpile and not in a refuse stockpile.
