0006523: Crash after generating world and immediately reclaiming/unretiring a worldgen fortress
After generating a world for 250 years, and going into fortress mode, one site was available to be unretired. After the unretirement text prompt, the game crashed.

I just unretired a worldgenned fortress, it had no inhabitants and the game crashed instantly after unpausing, I am unsure if this is a different bug or related to this.

There are two worldgen fortresses that are marked as "Inhabited". If the game manages to not crash when unretiring one of them, you end up with 0 dwarves (as noted by Kawzeg) and can pan around. They will always crash on unpause though.

Interestingly, the behavior seems to be at least marginally tied to the state of the "current" folder. At one point while poking at this, one of the two forts entirely disappeared from the Reclaim list, and stayed missing until I manually deleted the contents of "current".

EDIT: This is definitely unrelated to 0006681 and 0006900 which were the autosave bug.

Testing in 0.40.06, all of the fortresses in thewonderidiot's save were marked as 'Ruin', and I embarked on one without a crash. Not sure how stuff got in the 'current' folder.

Does anyone have a 0.40.07+ save that reproduces the problem?

I have a save from 0.40.08 that I think exhibits this bug. The game crashed after reclaiming a worldgen fortress, but there are a few caveats:

1. I have dfhack installed and was using it to kill off goblins and hostile dwarves while I explored with a miner

2. I have initial save and autosave turned on

3. The game did not crash immediately on load, but only after playing for a bit. I also quit and relaunched once to install dfhack, but was still playable for a short time after relaunching, it did not crash instantly.

Second Edit: I went back into my save without using dfhack, and it seems that it crashes now as soon as I discover a hiding goblin or dwarf but does not update the error log with any new messages. I know this for sure because I also crashed once when designating a dig spot at the edge of my discovered area, that added a pathing error line to the error log, but the crash after that when discovering a goblin did not add a new line.
