In which state was that miner? Diagnosis is often needed not only on the start but also in the middle of treatment process. Are you sure all these diagnoses were for one wound and no other healing jobs were done in between them? If your miner was in a really bad state maybe your CMD diagnosed 20 different wounds on one dwarf, one after another.
Are you using any mods? Was this fort/world started in 0.40.24 too? |

This might be a duplicate of 0007916.
Constant diagnoses have been seen sometimes when dwarfs developed an infection during treatment. The actual reason may be different, but patients' situation changing (wounds healing, infections popping up) empirically seem to mix up healthcare at times.
A save and description of the specifics would be helpful.
