0009695: Dwarven Civs Kamakazi/Freakout In/Near Combat
Not sure if its something im screwing up, but ever since whichever update brought us the larger trees, dwarven civilians have developed a almost kamakazi like behavior where they lock into combat with something hostile or a animal that may have taken a swipe at them and will not disengage until either its dead or the enemy is, this also effects burrows where dwarves will constantly leave/reenter burrows and will not function at all until the enemy is dead, i do have several videos where this behavior has been displayed and its starting to feel a little game breaking to me,one where a dwarf civ engaged with a camel and proceded to punch/kick it to death with no job/reason other then it maby got too close or took one swipe at him, again he refused to leave, one where my whole colony again kamakazied a FB rather then burrow/close off access and more recently dwarves were set to run into there tower burrow, pull lever and seal it up but refused to do so and would constantly run in and out of the tower burrow, only when the creature was dead did they suddenly regain there senses and be able to function as they should have been able to.
Id say just engage in combat with civilians around or combat involving citizens
19:00 is where the most recent chaos and nonsense begins https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LU4M3adqqSA [^]
As a older example of civ combat locking ill post the camel one as well, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yn0yVB6wS9w [^]
