Summary0009800: Job does not reflect Specific Material chosen for Beds, catapult parts, and ballista parts
DescriptionSelecting a material for beds as for other items does not change the description from 'bed' to 'oak bed,' for example. I don't know if it actually forces the use of said material, however. This is p minor except maybe if you want your carpenter to move around lighter wood.

Description doesn't change in carpenter workshop, but only specified wood, you have chosen, if you opted to specified it, is used. If you use job manager, then job manager displays your favorite wood type. Beds can be made only out of wood, unless it is an artifact. This is game mechanics. Not sure even if this is a bug, that carpenter workshop is not displaying your choice. Always use DF-Wiki, before writing here a ticket, is my advice.

The "Construct Bed" job lacks the "wooden" descriptor which would be replaced by a specific type of wood when one is selected. The same problem applies to Catapult Parts and Ballista Parts.
