0010414: Single shell craft used up entire stack of forgotten beast shells

That was supposedly fixed in v0.40.06 (0003151). What version was your fort created with? If you have a save with the shell stack, please upload it to DFFD ( http://dffd.bay12games.com/ [^] ) and post a link here.

Well, it's 0.43.05. Unfortunately, I don't have a save...unless, maybe an earlier backup would work? When are FB details decided, when the beast emerges or in world-gen or something? It seems like shelled FGs are pretty rare.

Got a working save with the stack of shells, but it's not reliably reproducing. The second time around, it consumed one unit, produced two crafts. The first time, the whole stack was definitely gone after one craft was produced, don't know what the random factor could be.

Is the second shell stack from the same FB as the first stack? Do you have free-roaming cats? Could a rat have destroyed the first shell stack before you went looking for it?

Yeah, same FB. Yes, cats. I guess a rat could have destroyed it, didn't think of that.

TBH, I would close this. Attempted to reproduce using a backup save and couldn't, so not-reproduce-able, as far as I'm concerned. Would close if I could.
