Summary0010761: Merchants neither move nor trade
DescriptionMerchants from Mountainhome have arrived, but before they could reach Trade Depot, wolverine man attacked one of my dogs and the merchants started to run in panic. Wolverine man died, so merchants have begin going back to Trade Depot. Suddenly they stopped and now they are standing there for about a year, even after "Merchants are soon leaving" message.
Steps To ReproduceI don't know, maybe provoke a fight when merchants are going to depot?

Now I see they are not completely standing still. They are moving a bit, but this don't seem to be significant.

In "Dead/Missing" tab there is "Missing" Wagon. Maybe that's the case?

After a year merchants are stressed or distracted. One is even haggard and is Stumbling obliviously! However, they are still not leaving my fortress

This has happened before, but I'm not aware of what causes it, nor, unfortunately, how to solve it (although murdering everyone probably works). Usually all the merchants either leave when a unit scuttles its goods (you should have a pile of things lying on the ground together with "wagon wood" somewhere along the path to the trade depot).

Just reporting something odd is rarely helpful, however, as a save is usually needed to analyze what's happened (which may not be sufficient either). Saves are typically uploaded to DFFD, http://dffd.bay12games.com/submit.php. [^] A "save" is a <DF>\data\save\regionX folder (where X is a number) containing all the info for that world.

Edit: And you can use the edit option on a previous comment rather than producing a string on comments to save on space.
