Summary0011705: Subterranean Trees growing rampart
DescriptionAfter making some space to start farming underground I went into the 1st cave layer and underground trees are spreading rampant!
They only produce saplings which won't mature (not high enough), but they're taking up half the space in 2 years or so.
Steps To ReproduceDig underground soil, make room for Pen/Pasture, farm, some workshops, etc.
Discover cave layer, so moss and trees will start to spawn.
Don't touch the saplings and watch them take over.
Additional InformationIt's gotten to the point where it's breaking Farm plots (once a sapling is at a spot, the Farm plot has a hole in it).
I don't know if there's a cap for tree growth and if above and underground have the same cap, but I wanted only above ground trees, so I didn't let them mature for this reason.
I discovered the cavern layer, so I could house animals indoors (because of HFS of course)

Could you upload a save (e.g. to https://dffd.bay12games.com/ [^]) illustrating the issue?

Could also use a bit more clarity on the version of DF you're using - you said both "0.47.03" and "47.04-r3 (with LNP)", but the latter would have DF 0.47.04.
