Summary | 0004056: Deconstructing nest box prevents hen from re-nesting
Description | Simple enough - if a hen (other egg layers would probably do this too) has a nest deconstructed under her, she will go to another nest box, but instead of sitting in it, she will go to the meeting hall to idle. Unmaking the meeting hall does not help.
Steps To Reproduce | 1. Have a tame hen. 2. Construct a nest box. 3. Have hen occupy it. 4. Deconstruct it. 5. Build another nest box. 6. Hen goes over, does not sit down, goes to meeting hall.
Additional Information | If there's no meeting hall, the hen will wander aimlessly near the nest.

Reminder sent to: AbuDhabi Do you feel you waited long enough for the bird to nest? I believe they only seek out a nest box when they are ready to lay eggs again. The new next box should show that it is claimed by the bird - is that the case? |

Yes, the nest gets claimed by the hen. When I q it, it is claimed. However, all other birds stay in their nest boxes all the time, which leads me to believe that one of these cases may be intended, and the other a bug. |

Reminder sent to: AbuDhabi Ok, but does she go back when she is ready to lay eggs? She should stay there after that if she's not interrupted again. |

While I haven't checked if she lays eggs there whenever she's ready, she does not stay in the box. After a few years, I think it's a pretty safe bet that she's not going to sit back down. That fortress of mine is now abandoned, so I can't provide a save, sorry. |

This is related to the bug where multiple nest boxes were claimed and should also be resolved now. |
