Summary0007686: Trade depot destroyed by tantrum while caravan present, all items become property of fortress
DescriptionThere was a small goblin siege in early spring in which four dwarfs died. After they'd run away, the elf caravan arrived and unpacked their goods. Then a dwarf child (whose father died in the siege) threw a tantrum and destroyed the depot while the elves were still occupying it. Now the trade goods are strewn all over the hallway. I built a new depot (in a different place because all those items were in the way), hauled a couple of gem bins to it, and called for the trader, only to find the elves had no goods. I thought at first the traders had just failed to move their goods to the new depot, but the items in the hallway seem to belong to the fortress.

This has been around since the 2D days, and has been used as an exploit by many different players. Not sure if it's an actual bug, or working as intended.

I had this happen in 40.04 as well. I really don't think dwarves ought to be able to destroy things like trade depots from tantrums - at least not while there are merchants there. I think they would realistically try to protect their goods. :P

Yeah, regardless of how it was destroyed, this is 0000293.
