Summary | 0008799: Underground tree 'up ramps' can be designated to be removed, which causes tree to collapse
Description | I noticed cave ins occurring when removing ramps near a underground tree/fungus. On closer inspection, it seems that the tree 'ramps' were being included in the designation. When one is removed there is a cave in triggered and the tree vanishes (no logs).
Steps To Reproduce | Designate - 'z' ramp removal on an underground tree/fungus (Save file has a goblin-cap with a staircase next to it ready for this)

I've just found out that this doesn't happen in a game using the Modest mod. I don't know if that is a coincidence, or what. |

Should be a coincidence. I didn't do it. |

Ah, I've got some more information. In the same game it will work on some goblin cap 'up ramps' and not on other goblin cap 'up ramps'. |

Isn't that "works sometimes" rather dependant how the rest of tree is positioned and what is hanging from where? So removing some tiles of some trees may be safe as long it can stand on its other tiles? |

@Detros: No. Some goblin cap, nether cap and black cap trees have ramps that can be DESIGNATED some trees apparently don't. I'm not talking about whether the tree collapses or not. [EDIT] On further inspection, it seems that tree 'ramps' that aren't adjacent* to tree 'walls' cannot be designated. The others can. * Adjacent including diagonally-adjacent. |
