Summary0008886: Dwarves become accident prone when civilian alert burrow is activated
DescriptionI activated a civilian alert. One of my dwarves ended up plummeting down the central stairwell.

This behavior was also noted by Talvieno in 0007574
Additional InformationChanging DODGE_FLYING_OBJECT to UCR in announcements.txt makes this behavior easier to track. Activating an alert will then sometimes display "X jumps out of Y's flight path!" messages.

Can you upload a save that shows this, Loci? Probably best would be some where there is no civilian alert activated and and nothing happens when you leave it go but activating an alert makes at least one dwarf get prone? Does being in or out of given burrow seem to be important to trigger this?

And, are you sure that dwarf didn't fall just because s/he was standing on trap door and somebody opened it under him/her?

No, the problem reproduces sporadically at best, and is nearly impossible to catch in progress.

The dwarves that went airborne were outside of the alert burrow.

Yes.

My guess would be that Urist McMoron is pathing to the alert burrow, but gets blocked by Urist McFatty in a narrow hallway. Urist McMoron switches to "jump/climb pathing", starts hopping around the fortress, and occasionally falls down a stairwell.
