| Description | Sometimes DF generating civilizations that are unable to make mookcases neither from wood, neither from stone. As a result, creation of library is being impossible. | |||||

Please upload a save generated in 42.x that demostrates the issue (an embark with the proper building and the resources to normally build the bookcase available) to the DFFD ( http://dffd.bay12games.com/index.php [^] ) and post a link to it here. |

Okay, this is weird. Your save raws (and thus likely your main raws) are incomplete. Most raw files seem up to date, but a few aren't, including item_tool.txt and creature_standard.txt. The former is the culprit here - since bookcases and such aren't in the file, they can't be built by anyone. A fresh download should give you the complete raws. |
