Summary0009372: Eventual crash upon use of trading interface [saved file with reproducible bug]
DescriptionThis is a saved file where the trader is at the Trade Depot ready to go. My game had crashed twice when it reached this point before I finally saved the file right before and started experimenting. I am hoping that it helps with the debugging process.

One caveat: DF was upgraded from 0.42.02 from 0.42.03 after this game was started. If this is a possible source of file corruption that could cause these symptoms, then this bug report might be less valuable than one might wish.
Steps To ReproduceBegin trading and experiment.
Additional InformationEntering and leaving the trading session quickly does not suffice to trigger a crash.

Scrolling through or selecting trade items from the Mountainhomes does not trigger a crash.

Scrolling through and selecting items the fortress is offering to trade will eventually trigger a crash by itself, but not quickly.

Performing a trivial trade exchanging very cheap items for a single cheap item from the Mountainhomes does not trigger a crash.

However, after that trade was performed, attempting to exit the trading session did trigger a crash.

Performing a trade exchanging several Finished Goods for a pricy Mountainhome item triggered a crash.

Exchanging several mid-priced Mountainhome items for a barrel of Prepared Food triggered the crash.

Reminder sent to: Ogg the Blinky Sock

Were you by chance trading mugs/goblets and if so, does it not crash if you don't have those at the depot?

I can confirm that it does not crash if there are no finished goods at the depot. I am sure there were probably mugs amongst the items being traded.

I will test further during a later trading season and see if I can verify that presence/absence of mugs is in fact the crucial deciding factor, but for now, I guess the odds are high of this being a duplicate bug report, given your question.

Thanks, in such case it would be 0009341, "Crash During Trading, Trade Depot (mug/goblet related)".
