Summary | 0010893: Building on top of a bolt/arrow suspends construction repeatedly and indefinitely |
Description | When building on a tile occupied by an arrow, the construction will get suspended indefinitely if there is no place to store the arrow or if the arrow is forbidden. This creates a situation where a tile becomes off limits unless the arrow is dumped or put into a temporary stockpile. |
Steps To Reproduce | Enable hunting labor on a dwarf.
Once there is a used bolt somewhere on the map, build an up staircase on top of it.
Make sure there is no ammo stockpile or that the ammo stockpile is full.
|
Additional Information | This can easily confuse new players given that used ammunition is forbidden by default, and attempting to set up an extra ammo stockpile can make the ammo unusable unless bins are disabled immediately. The steps required to make the tile buildable aren't intuitive, and it's possible to make some or all of the ammo inside the fortress unusable while trying to build a staircase on top of a used bolt. |
