0010621: Game crashes during the raid
Game crashes, while dwarfs are raiding (razing etc.) settlements.
1. Send a raid
2. Wait for a result
Tried like 10 times on three goblin settlements and one human settlement. Everything was fine on 0.44.06 version.
No tags attached.

A save & more information would help be beneficial so that Toady could determine where your dwarves were going & what they are doing like in similar issue report 0010616 since the recent round of bugfixes dismissed some notable reported bugs with raiding.

Anything interesting in game and error log? Have you managed to get a proper raid in 0.44.07 or only in 0.44.06? When does the crash occur?

I had no proper raids in 0.44.07, the game always crashes. The crash occur, as far as I can tell, when squad(s) should appear in the fortress after the raid. There are seven same lines in the error log: "removed erroneous unit occupancy flag". But nothing special in the game log.

There's the link. I've put two saves in the zip: for 0.44.06 and 0.44.07 versions. So you can try to send a raid in both. It's the same world and fortress.

I sent out a successful raid using the 0.44.07 save, on Dreadwalks, a nearby goblin site. I'll need a more specific recipe or some other confirmation to work on this one.

Okay, so, I tried to raid the Dark Goblin Pits of Dreadwalk again, using my squad "The Mortal Busts". Here are the results:

1. Pillage - the game crashed before the return of the squad.
2. Raid - the game crashed before the return of the squad.
3. Raze - the game crashed before the return of the squad.
4. Demand one-time tribute - the game crashed before the return of the squad.
5. Demand ongoing tribute - the game crashed before the return of the squad.

Also some time ago I launched one of my old 0.43.05 saves on the 0.44.06 version of the game. The first raid was on a nearby goblin site - the squad returned with goods, but some soldiers died during the raid. So, I tried again, but send them to reclaim on of the world artifacts, and the game crashed in the same manner.

My save is posted in the similar bug you mention. Sounds like the exact same issue, except my save is after I sent them out. Wait a couple minutes and it will crash. I think there is some chance that they can return successfully, but I have run my save probably a good 20-30 hoping to fix it and have crashed every time. Hope it can help with this bug.
