0001766: Water causes bleeding
Water flooding my fortress coats some tiles in blood. Sometimes the blood belongs in my dwarves, sometimes in a pool around the dead creatures on the map, but never on my farms or in my cistern.
Allow water to reach new places.

Water will spread blood all over the place if it comes into contact with it; this includes touching dwarfs who have blood coverings on them. Is it possible that some of your bloody dwarfs are coming into contact with the flood waters, and the blood is coming from them?

Yeah, basically it's entirely intended that water moves blood and other goop around, although it's slightly screwy right now in ways already covered by other reports (e.g. 0000296). It also washes goop off your dwarves, as GRead said. Does that clear things up?

We'll say it is covered by other reports.
