0002013: Shrubs and underground trees grow on muddied smooth stone floors.
After piercing the underground I noticed that my cistern was starting to grow plants in it. I only noticed this after the water level dropped to about 4/7 and I could see them as the water moved around. Currently I have several dead shrubs and a few young fungiwoods and black caps growing down there. All this despite the fact that the walls and floors of the cistern were all smoothed over before filling it with water. The floor is mostly dolomite with a vein of hematite running through it.
Make an underground reservoir. Fill with water. Have the underground discovered. Wait.
I haven't tried this with a constructed floor, would that maybe solve the problem? I'm not looking forward to getting back down in there to cut down the trees blocking the water flow.

I don't know, or have forgotten, why this is a bug and not a feature.
