I wrote a lengthy post describing this problem as I am having it. I hit the backspace key while not in the text box and it went back one page. Now it is lost forever in internets. I wish this had some sort of draft-saving feature.
I will work on uploading my save as I think my manufactured waterfall shows this problem quite well. Water does fall, just not fast enough it seems. It likes to "pile" on itself so it can actually make large pyramids of water that, presumably, could freeze and your dwarves could path up them just fine. :P |

Here is the file, complete with description, diagrams, and pictures just in case you have troubles loading it again. ;) It should be easily reproducible if you have the wherewithal to make your own waterfall pump system.
Definitely seems to me like water's being just a tad wonky. |

Doesn't need to be new to be a valid bug! I have yet to see this happening in a non-dwarfmade waterfall, though. |

Does this still happen? I made some changes to maps for 0.40.01 that might be related. |

Please reopen this report or PM a manager on the forums if this problem is still present in 0.40.09+. |
