This issue appears to have been resolved at some point. I haven't seen it pop up in the last few versions, and it was very consistent before.

Thanks for the follow-up.

I'll add this to the 31.22 changelog since the fix probably happened with the other stockpile fixes.

If you find it isn't fixed, reopen this report

No sooner did I say this looked fix than I started noticing feather's from forgotten beasts spread accross my bone, shell, and skull stockpiles.

Easy enough to reopen. Thanks for the further testing.

Still happening in 0.34.11.

In my current fort, the dwarves keep putting FB bones, skulls, shell, and feathers in the refuse stockpile I have set up for fresh hide only, though before that they kept putting them in the regular refuse stockpile. I didn't have that problem with a previous fort, not sure why.

The problem is that while the stockpile settings interface hides "inappropriate" creatures (namely, Forgotten Beasts), it still tracks their settings, and selecting "Allow All" or "Block All" will set/clear those invisible settings - if you don't want forgotten beast remains to be stored in a particular refuse stockpile, you must select "Block All" and then individually enable your desired categories (whether by using "Permit XXX" or by selecting each entry individually).
