Summary0002970: Dwarves will clean mud from farms, rendering them useless
DescriptionMy underground farms stopped working, and I caught my dwarves cleaning the mud from the plots. This makes farms unusable, so I had to turn cleaning off on all my dwarves.
Steps To ReproduceDesignate a few dwarves as cleaners only and stick them in a burrow with a farm, I guess. Since I caught the guy in the act, I didn't bother to reproduce myself.

Are you sure they were not smoothing the stone floor? I've seen that before, with the effect being a non-working farm plot.

Yeah, I'm sure. It wasn't an engraver, I hadn't told them to smooth that part of the fort, and it didn't turn into a smooth floor. Turning off cleaning on my dwarves has allowed me to farm normally for years since.
