Summary0003785: DF crashes almost every half season, with "700 Bus error" in the terminal
DescriptionDF crashes with some regularity, always giving this:

Almost in all cases I've been building either upward or downward staircases, but I'm not certain.

Actually, just pinned it down to crashing upon Kobold Thief leaving the map. My current save crashes right after he leaves, every time.
