0005503: Dwarves wounded by forgotten beast won't rest
6 dwarves got wounded by a forgotten beast, 4 were successfully treated, but 2 remain undiagnosed, months (even years later)
both have red leg wounds and cannot walk. They need a crutch.
while investigating the problem I found this thread:
http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=15096.14280 [^]
Which mentioned a similar problem but that player noted that his dwarves had forgotten beast juice all over them.

The two dwarves in my fort each have a splattering of dwarven blood and one has 2 splatterings of goblin blood on him (must have picked it up outside)
So they shouldn't have anything causing them any ongoing damage.

As soon as they are put in bed, they cancel rest: interrupted by forgotten beast

the doctor then cancels diagnosis.

I notice toady says in this bug report:
http://www.bay12games.com/dwarves/mantisbt/view.php?id=1061 [^]

That he fixed it, but clearly this hasn't been fixed.

Hospital is on 147, the 2 dwarves are currently in their own beds (I had just deconstructed all hospital beds to see if that helped)
One dwarf is directly above the hospital. The other dwarf is on z level 146 almost directly below that dwarf (down 1 level, left one 1 room) he's a dwarf child

Is the forgotten beast still alive?

Yes, but very far away. He's on z-level..hmm.. 91 swimming around a lake.

After killing the beast, the dwarven child and the other dwarf had their "Extreme pain" tag removed. The dwarven child seems to be moving (despite his destroyed ankle)

The child got to the hospital and the doctor is treating him, however the other dwarf is still in his room. Despite deconstructing the bed, no one is carrying him to the hospital, and he's now "very unhappy"

The other dwarf (after rebuilding and deconstructing the bed again) was finally taken to the hospital and is being treated, but they shouldn't be affected by a forgotten beast like that.

Why is this still tagged awaiting update?? I've provided the save where this is happening.

Managers use that tag for a variety of reasons, some of which you aren't privy to.

Comments like that are unnecessary.

Neither is that. I was genuinely curious if the manager had forgotten to change the tag or there was some other piece of information they thought they'd needed but forgotten to mention to me.

Yeah, I just forgot to untag it.
