0005893: Magma occasionally fails to destroy utterly flammable items, see description and save for list
Bodies continue to rot/ create miasma and negative thoughts. Clothes _sometimes_ burn for months.

Here's a save in 34.08, a hermit fortress. The remains of all the other migrants in the room adjacent the depot are creating miasma, but not visible through (k)

A set of burning clothing has been submerged in magma since before the traders arrived.

Traders and liaison are locked in the depot, magma at the ready. Pull the lever and do your own experiment.
submerge creatures (dwarves probably) in magma.

look for weirdness.
one mod present, language file "language_SPANISH.txt" enabled as dwarfspeak in entity_default.txt

not likely to change this behavior in my estimation

clothing, magma, miasma
duplicate of 0000895resolved Toady One Items disappear (become invisible) after getting pushed by flowing water, burning in magma, or encased in ice
has duplicate 0005764resolved Footkerchief Vaporized dwarf's !!clothing!! is still on my stocks list after years submerged in magma.

Reminder sent to: nshapter

Do you have temperature enabled in init.txt?

Also, do the items have many coatings of blood as described at 0003127?

good point I did also change some announcements, show flow #'s etc, but nothing that should change mechanics.

I just loaded it up, and after a couple more days they burned away, but it's been under magma since before the traders arrived. The miasma seems to have stopped.

Maybe quitting and reloading did it.

Or possibly it resolved upon magma reaching 7/7

The lone dwarf is still remembering 'having to endure the decay of a friend.' The body in question was long gone under at least 4/7 magma when I noticed the miasma and sudden downturn in his mood.

Are you sure this isn't 0000895?

this should be as easy a push as possible as magma filled the room fairly slowly through one square of fortification. There is no outflow, it just kind of filled up the sealed room. I would note that the opening of the drawbridge into the depot did produce more flow, and there was nothing organic left behind.

It doesn't matter whether the push is "easy" or not. Flowing liquid is flowing liquid in DF. Can you rule out 0000895?

If the items are invisible to the [k] cursor and still show up in stocks (and the stocks "zoom" key works), then this is definitely 0000895.

That's not what i had at all, but rather, some clothes burned for 3 months, and some bodies rotted while not visible via K, there was no bookkeeper to view stocks.

marking this for close as I'm sure there's better bugs to kill
