I'd say this is probably deliberate - I haven't checked the code personally, but I'm willing to bet that it's explicitly blacklisting certain types of tiles (boulders, trees, etc.) and that it's now disallowing tracks as well.

Also, you shouldn't be reporting bugs in version 0.34.10 - the latest version is 0.34.11.

Yeah, only the flattest stuff works. I don't have as strong feelings about this as I do about pressure plates. People are welcome to discuss in the suggestions forum.
