0006041: standing order>forbid>select everything does not forbid items dropped by caravans
If you go in the standing orders menu and forbid everything, the items dropped by caravans that die outside are still not forbidden. This results in dwarves running off to die to "drink", "pickup equipment", or "store item in stockpile/bin".

Even with burrows set, this still affects military. The military will ignore burrows and go die outside to drink or pick things up, such as bolts.
In standing orders, forbid everything.

Wait for goblins to attack at the same time as caravans.

When caravans get killed, look on the corpses and find whole wagons full of non-forbidden goods.
At some point I'll create a save while caravans are being slaughtered, back it up, and play it to be sure the bug happens, and then send it in. I don't have such a save at the moment.

I marked this major because it's not minor, but I would say in between, because losing is only fun when it is your fault. If the interface has such a problem that results in people dying and causing tantrum spirals, it ruins the whole experience. (A large number of issues like this is why my brother hates this game, although he is an expert at it.)

That sounds pretty much like 0003282. When you get your save on the DFFD ( http://dffd.wimbli.com/ [^] ), please post a note at that report.
