0006439: The game seems to crash on a fixed rate.
I've never really had Dorf Fort crash on me before (as in ever), but for some reason after three minutes of this save the game crashes without fail.

Merchants are currently at my Trade Depot, the human diplomat will announce he's leaving (sometimes), and shortly after the game crashes. I'm unaware if that's what's causing the issue.
Just let the fort run for about a minute or so.
I currently run Soundsense, Therapist, DF Hack (don't really use it), and Quickfort, but none of these have given me issues in the past.

I will upload the needed specs if necessary but to be honest I'm not sure how.

A save is helpful in cases like this where the cause of the crash isn't evident. http://dffd.wimbli.com/ [^] is the recommended place to upload saves.

Confirmed - it crashed for me after around 10 minutes (although a lot of that was looking through the stocks screen and other menus, so I don't know for sure how long it took).
I'm noticing several "Melt a Metal Object/R" jobs, which means this might be 0006431. I'll try testing again and disabling all melt jobs, although it'll take a while with the framerate I'm getting.
Also, I didn't see any announcements about merchants, so I don't think that's related (I did get a farewell message from the human diplomat).

Edit: Unmarking everything for melting seems to have done the trick - the game is about a month past where it crashed last time, the merchants have started to leave, and there have been many announcements that didn't show up last time. As far as I can tell, this is a duplicate of 0006431.

For the record, these are the steps I took to undesignate everything for melting (requires DFHack):
* Access the stocks screen (z - right*3 - enter) and enter [e]nhanced view (this is a separate plugin, but I think it's included in MDF. If not, try d-b-M over the whole map)
* Press [Tab] to expand the list
* Press [Shift-A] [Shift-M] [Shift-M] to select everything, designate for melting, and undesignate
* Press Ctrl-M to make sure nothing is designated for melting (the number on the left should stay the same)

If you want to track down the problem: There are 22 melt-designated items when loading the save. Chances are at least one of them is inaccessible, owned, leaves the map (with the diplomat?), etc., and trying to melt it causes the crash. If there isn't an obviously problematic item, you can try undesignating everything and redesignating items individually until you get the crash.

Thanks so much man, I've never had an issue mass melting before but those are very plausible reasons.

Thanks, lethosor! CaptainHowdy, please reopen this if 0006431 doesn't explain it.
