Meanwhile, no actual attacks were being made.
1. Find some animal people
2. Attack. Alternatively, just stand in the middle of them.
Has happened with Raven people, Great Horned Owl people, and Cockatiel People so far.

Perhaps this is part of the "spreading rumors" interaction, maybe just that animal people have nothing better to do than gossip about people standing right next to them. I did hear somewhere that it was possible now to spread fake rumors and lie, but don't quote me.

That would be hilarious if the animal people just lied to each others' faces all the time. However, after this was posted I witness them spreading truthful rumors about a night creature I struck down in front of them, so I don't think they're lying. It seems more like they're just briefly becoming aggressive towards me, then getting distracted by conversation.

I've experienced this as well. The fact that you were attacked by those animal people shows up in your event log, even though you don't seem to receive any actual *attacks*.

If it's anything like regular animals, it basically registers an attack whenever an animal notices you and enters the "Encounter" state, I believe.

I can confirm this, just saw a bunch of friendly* animal men.

@Button

I think this is spot on. This interaction notice needs to be changed to "Encountered" because "Attacked" is too specific that it's incorrect. There would be nothing wrong about two animal men talking about encountering you, and it doesn't make sense when I have my log filled with having "attacked" a bunch of birds.

I can confirm this. Furthermore, when I checked the adventure log, there were a lot of "animal attacked you", "animal attacked companion", "civilian attacked animal" events, despite I never remember any such attacks. I also saw something like a "you attacked you" event, not sure what that was...
