0008189: Water Freezes and creates "Above Ground" Tiles Deep Below Ground
Flooding a huge underground chamber. SOME of the tiles that were marked as Stockpiles AND were wet in mid-Autumn froze into "Inside Dark Above Ground" walls of ice when the freeze came.
Tiles marked as Stockpiles in the water after the freeze are unaffected.

Had already removed stockpiles by the time I saved trying to figure out what was going on.

Mentioned tiles were many, many Z levels underground, and they resulted in "Inside DARK Above Ground"- DARK is never, ever associated with above ground tiles, and there were dozens of untouched tiles on the Z-levels above it. This also was not the result of digging into ice; these were tiles in a far below ground chamber, well below the 2nd cavern layer, where everything flooded normally, and it was on tiles and ONLY on tiles marked at stockpiles that the freeze turned the water into ice.

I might be missing something, but what part of that contradicts 0003905?

I'm having a difficult time following 3905; it sounds like a bug from dug tiles under ice tiles, whereas the one I had was not under ice tiles, was much, much deeper underground, and only happened to stockpile tiles. There's no save from 3905, so I cannot draw a better comparison; the download link I included should still be valid.

Here's the key sentence from 0003905: "if the tile is dug out first and then the ice forms, the tile is Above Ground."

...Okay, I guess I see that. Oh well, you guys know about it and have the save; hope it helps either way. Sorry to be a nuisance. ^_^;
