Summary0010230: Unexpected Crash
DescriptionAdventure mode keeps crashing near a bronze colossus site. Can anyone figure this out? I've linked video footage of both crashes and the dump files and save folders.
Steps To ReproduceCrash when walking east: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Fc17G_PXqs&t=28m37s&list=PL22FmIq3wbUgYfTdoVx1NAquLujBStGMZ&index=96 [^]
Crash when assigning location to room: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRrgwiGfRaA&index=95&t=1h36m15s&list=PL22FmIq3wbUgYfTdoVx1NAquLujBStGMZ [^]

No mods. The first crash I have no clue why it crashed. I was walking east. I'm guessing I raised a red flag when reiterating my previous game crash. The second crash I removed a room to check who I worshipped and then remade the room & assigned a temple. As soon as I pressed Esc the game crashed.
Additional InformationHere is the dump file for walking east: http://www.mediafire.com/file/yl3ihf1ycwwrfi1/Dwarf+vs+Shadow+Fortress+CRASH+FILES.rar [^]
And the dump file for assigning a room's location: http://www.mediafire.com/file/8gbu2lt9am3n953/Beer+the+Autumn+of+Attack+CRASH+FILES.rar [^]

Also sometimes if there are lots of creatures on the map I'll move two tiles at a time, or my companions will chase something and get lost. Actually both crashes I'd had companions whom I'd had agreements with get lost and then rejoin me once I returned to their home. But the number of agreements was correct and there were no clones. Right before the 'assigning location to room' crash the logs were being glitchy and it said I had no logs when I did (they were from an underground region beneath a cave) yet the construction got completed anyway.

In the walking east crash I had replayed the game back to that point and didn't know the colossus location but was approaching near the general area.

My adventurer's first name is 2B.

Managed to do what I wanted :) http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=164011.msg7450565#msg7450565 [^]
Have not tried to reproduce the temple/site crash.

On a more minor note, for some reason the gorlaks that 2B Bluntcrystals slew do not have names?

In retrospect, one possible source for the creature id corruption and endlessly spawning monsters may have arisen from this bug. Or rather, a very specific bug, the giant cave spider that I loaded before this crash. In fortress mode a giant cave spider had gotten a name from killing off my fort and then wandered off the map. When I re-entered the ruins in adventure mode I had framerate death. The spider trying to do pathfinding from outside of the zone may have corrupted my save file. Perhaps it tried to spawn twice??
