Summary0011059: Pangolin skeletons can not be killed
DescriptionPangolin skeletons (animated by necromancers) can't be hurt. The combat log says all attacks hit the upper body scale ("tear apart" / "bruise" / "dent".) But nothing slows these things down.

Eventually, attacking dwarves collapse from exhaustion and get scratched to death.
Steps To Reproduce1) Get a pangolin skeleton animated by necromancer
2) Send all your dwarves to attack it
3) Pangolin wins

There are two pangolin skeletons in this save. Maybe they rolled into a ball when they died, and after re-animation they are still "balled up" and can only be hit on the upper body / scales?

After these pangolins wiped out a squad of military dwarves and got into my civilians, I wound up getting rid of them by making them melt at room temperature; edited raw/objects/creature_tropical_new.txt , went to the bottom of the [CREATURE:PANGOLIN] block and added:

[SELECT_MATERIAL:ALL]
    [MELTING_POINT:1]

It looks like someone had a similar experience with pangolins a while back:
