Summary0011312: Artifacts teleport from worldgen dwarf fortress to nearby monster lair
DescriptionAfter visiting a worldgen fortress and noting the dozens of books in the library, as well as the relics in the temple, my adventurer walked out without fast traveling in order to cross the nearby mountain range. Upon reaching the second map tile to the east of the fortress, he found all of the fortress artifacts (including a quire that a scholar wrote on while he was in the fortress) inexplicably scattered across the ground. I checked the fast travel screen to discover that my adventurer had stumbled across a monster lair. No explanation as to the apparent teleportation of artifacts was apparent.

Steps To ReproduceI think this might be difficult to reproduce in a random world. I did, however, upload earlier adventure mode saves from the same world here:

Try reproducing this bug by visiting the fortress of Quietbolts and then walking to the nearby lair of The Fenced Gutters without fast traveling between the two sites.

I wondered what would happen if I walked far enough away for the game to offload the lair and then walked back. I found that the artifacts were gone, replaced by dozens of animals from the nearby mountain biome.

Edit: I found the artifacts again. They are now on a map tile that is one tile south and two east of the monster lair.

Edit 2: The second tile is also a monster lair.

This seems very strange indeed. Hopefully tarn gets to al the weird adventure mode inconsistencies and bugs over the next few versions.
