Summary0002784: Blood coming back
DescriptionWell it seems that a pool of blood is always reappearing in the world map(out doors), I can let it vanish by not letting my dwarfs go near it, I check the area, no sign of blood. Then I let the dwarfs path through the area again and it reappears and begin expanding again as the dwarfs walk over it.

The worst thing is that it seems to reappear as a pile of blood of three different individuals, 1 cat and 2 killed dwarfs.
Steps To ReproduceWell it happens always on my current game but dont know if it would happen in a new world.
Additional InformationThe blood did come first when I got ambushed by goblins and they killed some dwarfs. As the areas had some statues the blood spread around until I took the statues down and closed off the area.

Kkloe, are you sure the blood has completely vanished before you allow your dwarfs back in to the area?

I've noticed that my ANIMALS that follow around my dwarves are spreading around blood.

My bloody dwarves will get clean, the now clean dwarves had animals that are still bloody, and their ANIMALS spread the blood. Then the dwarves get that blood back on them, and the dwarves ALSO spread the blood until they go get clean. I suspect what he is seeing is the same thing--- blood contaminants from the tame animals and in particularly the pets is spreading. In other words, animals spread the plague of blood around, so lock them all up until you can build a washing pit for them, then dump them into it to get them clean. Repeat as necessary.

Even if it's completely vanished from the ground, the dwarves could be tracking around blood on their feet. Try checking their inventory for blood coverings/smears/spatters.

That's what I was trying to get at - Kkloe was specific in saying the blood was contained in a certain area - if the dwarfs were spreading it from their feet, it would have been elsewhere.

Well as I didnt know that the animals could carry blood and after looking it was as Lord Dakstar said, the animals are spreading the blood around as they follow my dwarfs.

And as the areas in question was from some stairs on my above ground farms and to the dump from another exit.

I noticed that the animals splattered with blood were the farm animals(horses, cows, donkey etc) and some cats but most of them were the farm animals
