Summary0000558: Embark wagon spawns on invalid location and "explodes"
DescriptionUpon embarking on a mostly mountainous tile near a glacier my wagon "exploded" - that is to say, it immediately deconstructed itself and spewed its contents across the side of a mountain after it had spawned on what I assume was an illegal location.
Additional InformationThere were no announcements or events that happened with this occurrence.

This is a standing issue which dates back to 0.28[.181.40d] and earlier.

I figured. I assume, however, that this bug tracker is for all existing bugs, new or not, so long as they are not currently reported via this system. Then again, I'm not sure of the design philosophy required by Toady/Footkerchief.

Ideally all the non-obsolete old bugs (and known issues with 31.01) would have been imported into the tracker before it went public, but there wasn't time. Those bugs are kind of in limbo right now. It's helpful to get verification that they're still around.

I've also seen, at least in .34.5, the embark wagon land on top of a 1x1 "bump" of soil and "explode" in this manner.

Not sure if it counts for this bug, but the same can happen it the wagon starts at least partially on ice, and then ice melts. I have had one .34 fort where this has happened.

In 40.10 I now had a version of this happen twice. The wagon does not fit in the starting area, and is not there but there is no explosion or wood anywhere to be found.
