0000734: Chief medical dwarf does not treat wounded.
My chief medical dwarf only ever diagnoses and cleans patient. Patients marked for suturing were not sutured, even though he had this job on. Removing him from position of Chief medical dwarf resulted in him working as he should.

Does this reproduce if you re-appoint him to the position? Does the problem continue through a save/load? If so, it would be helpful to upload a save (one where your chief medical dwarf is failing to suture patients) to http://dffd.wimbli.com/ [^]

I've got something similar. My chief medical dwarf will only diagnose and clean, never suture or dress, both of which jobs are enabled on him.

In my case, though, appointing someone else to the position didn't fix it. He still refuses to do those jobs.

How do you upload a save? I registered at the URL you gave, and tried to upload world.sav, but maybe that's the wrong file, because it refused to accept files with a .sav extension.

The chief does eventually do it. There seems to be huge delays though. I had a dwarf require suturing, setting and one other treatment. There were long periods between each, but he did them all and the dwarf recovered.

I tried to reproduce it, but I failed. I somehow managed to get him working in duo with one clerk assigned as doctor (they would take turns suturing). Anyway, here is the save: http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=2034 [^]
In the save former CMD is suturing. After I reappointed him he stopped suturing and begun only after the situation described in begining of this note.

I encountered the same, two dwarves and two horses have been waiting for a diagnosis for ages. Luckily, one of them is already back up and working again. With two broken legs.

If it matters, my particular doctor is also does all the other nobles' jobs. He stands around with no job rather than treating patients though. Hauling off.

I have twice now had a badly injured dwarf taken correctly to a hospital zone bed, fed and watered while there but never diagnosed by the chief medical dwarf despite him having no other labors enabled. The CMD spent most of his time with 'no job' and attending parties...

Combination of 0001582: Injured dwarf in bed in stocked hospital ignored by idle doctors and 0000412: Nobles job priority is weird
