DescriptionI reclaimed a fortress in fortress mode and then an announcement stating that something has collapsed on the surface pops up and takes me to 908 z-levels above the surface.

 Are you sure this was above, not below? Fortress maps typically just contain around 15-20 z-levels above ground level.

 And the maps typically contain just 150-250 z-levels below ground.

A save where this is reproduced is probably the best help in trying to understand what's going on.
