Summary0003885: Flying forgotten beast can path through unpathable places
DescriptionThis has happened twice. The first time, a forgotten beast appeared unexpectedly. I walled off the entrance to my fort, hoping to create another entrance elsewhere and eventually trap the beast where it could do no harm. This was as follows:
Symbols: O = wall, X = staircase

Top level:
OO
OX

Next level:
XO
OO

This worked; the forgotten beast was unable to path into my fort.

I then opened up the second entrance (far from the first entrance), thinking the beast would path to it, and that I might be able to trap it while it was using the second path. However, as soon as the second entrance to my fort was opened, the beast was able to path through the first entrance instead, killing everyone.

This happened again, recently. I opened up hell, and was able to block it off. When I dug an up/down staircase in another adamantine tube, I made sure that I had not reached hell (I didn't get to see any more of hell). However, a fire phantom appeared anyway.
Steps To ReproduceNot sure. I think the being must be a flier; you must then have one open path between it and you. Close the path, then open another one (through mining).

I've seen this as well. Similar situation to that described above. I was digging a ramp up and tunneled into a cavern with beasties. I immediately constructed a wall where the ramp had been. They came right through it. :(

Probably a case of 0000362.

Not sure that this is a case of 362; that seems to be more related to line-of-sight, while this is pathing. No one was interrupted until the beast got through, as far as I could tell.

Also, it wasn't only flying forgotten beasts that could path like that - the second time it happened it was a demon.
