Summary0004482: My save file crashes when loading [Fatal Error] "Missing Word Definition" :(
DescriptionHello, I've been playing dwarf fortress since 0.31.23, I transfered my save file from that to .25 with no problems but yesterday after saving it wouldn't load back and everytime I try to load my saved file it crashes with that irritating error..

I tried everything I could google, tried with a fresh install of DF, tried a different init.txt, tried black magic, everything and I just can't open it :(

I use IronHand's graphics and like I said I haven't had any weird problem (besides anoying periodical crashes, which is why I save so often)

Here's a link to my region folder (I think this is what I have to post)
http://www.mediafire.com/myfiles.php [^]

I beg you help me fix this, I really don't want to let go of my dwarves and that nifty little fortress :(, I was just starting to give steel helms to my soldiers!!

thanks in advance :)

Please upload to http://dffd.wimbli.com/ [^] instead. Mediafire has a habit of removing files quickly.

I get the same error with your save.

Did you ever interrupt the game during saving, e.g. by Ctrl+Alt+Del'ing the process or restarting your computer? Are you playing with any mods?

I saved normally before it went like that, I only use IronHands graphics, other than that I had already updated from .23 to .25 and it worked fine for a couple of days until this :(

is there any way to recover it >.<?

Not recoverable by any means I know of.

The pre-.25 versinos of Ironhand's graphics pack (or at least, the pre-.23 versions, as I discovered myself) include the word "llama" in the language file raws. This has apparently been removed, along with certain custom reaction definitions and food definitions, in the most recent versions.

I was able to get my .18 fort to run in .25 by copying over the relevant word definitions and translations (and the missing reaction and food definitions); however, I do now have occasional crashes that have been determined to be duplicates of 0001271, though there are no raw changes (that I could see) to any body parts.

Since it seems the issue is due to a change in the Ironhand graphics pack rather than DF, I'll mark this as resolved.
